The Northern Light built up a teriffic archive of oddments over the years so we have decided to share a few with you in this page. Try this stuff for size....

Davie Dodds, also known as Ole Golden Elbows, was a regular TNL reader. He became a bit of a hero of the TNL crew when he starred in the 1988/89 League Cup Final - scoring two goals and putting those elbows to good use in the face(s) of Gough and Butcher. To mark the occasion, Gordon Reid drew a special cartoon that was framed and sent on to Davie who responded with the pictures and letter shown here.

This milk float lay dumped at the roadside near Pittodrie for ages and provided endless fascination to the juvenile minds at TRF HQ. It was christened Taggart's Milk Float as it was reckoned he either commuted to work in it or had a moonlight delivery job to eke out the meagre salary paid him by Dick Donald.

We never found out what was really inside this beast and it vanished from the Pittodrie area before Ian Taggart did, so it remains a bit of a mystery. Only the photo survives to tantalise us all.
